You don't need much and you will be making something awesome and totally useful with those oils, like stain remover! It takes all of two seconds to make.  The recipe is in the graphic above. 

After making simply apply to the stain, even an old, dried stain, then wash immediately!

DIY HOLIDAY MILK BATH RECIPE

If you have been following me for a while you might have realised that I love baths and spas.  It is in fact very rare that you hear of someone disliking baths and I can only think that they have not treated it with the respect it deserves.  So here is a recipe for those of you who want to enjoy a special bath and no you don't wear a shirt in the bath!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is indeed a wonderful season - a favourite season for many. Are you like me and really enjoy giving gifts even more than receiving them?  Then this is a treat for you. 

Homemade peppermint milk bath

Homemade peppermint milk bath is an easy affordable #DIY gift or party favour.

On the other side of the world, you are approaching winter and you might notice your skin feeling dry. Therefore, I  am sure you will love to soak in a hot bath so this milk bath is a double WIN!

Did you know: 
Yes, did you know that Cleopatra claimed that a milk bath preserved her beauty and kept her skin glowing and youthful?

Ingredients:
2 cups whole powdered milk (higher fat content the better)
2 Slique tea bags (available from Young Living)
10 drops of peppermint essential oil

Directions:
Combine ingredients in a tin or bowl and whisk together until well combined.
Store milk bath in a cool dark place in a tin or jar for a day or two to infuse the milk with peppermint fragrance.

How to use:
Add desired milk bath under hot running water.
Lie back and relax. 
After soaking, drain the tub and rinse off in clean water.

Gifting ideas: 
Have a selection of jars, tins, test tubes etc on hand to use.
One of my favorite way to give this little gift is in glass ornaments or test tubes!

DIY Bubble Bath for You

Well, this has to be a winner.  Everyone loves bubble baths.  Kids love them!

Though you probably don't think so it is one of those great feelings and rush of emotions from our childhood when we are relaxing in a bath. 

DIY bubble bath

This recipe is sure to make bath time a success

What you will need:

1 cup YL shower gel base

1/3 cup glycerin

15-20 drops of Joy, Lavender or you or your child’s favourite scent.

Pour into an olive oil dispensing glass bottle. 

Gently shake to combine and pour under running water.

Relax and enjoy.

You can find heaps of research that supports my blog - just Google  "danger of candles".  I am going to keep it simple for you.  

There is no question that we particularly like to have our homes smelling lovely when guests arrive. 

So you come in the house and it smells musty and friends are coming so you find the nearest candle  (pine forest candle) and you are really not doing yourself any favours.   So today is the day and time to say "I will no longer burn smelly candles in my home."  Or if that is too harsh - say I will take a closer look to find out what is actually in the candles I have in my home before I light the wick again.  

You will appreciate that many candles on the market today are made from the petroleum byproduct, paraffin.  Yes, that is without question a repeat offender among the list of toxic chemicals.  

In fact, when you burn candles aside from accidental fires, the process of burning anything always runs the risk of emitting unhealthy fumes and particles.

Three things to consider when you are checking your candles:
1. Examine the wax ingredients
2. Inspect candle wicks
3. Avoid fragrance

Your healthy candle checklist

• Make sure the wick is made using 100% cotton
• Choose a fragrance-free candle, or one that uses 100% pure essential oils
• Choose 100% pure beeswax with no artificial colours

DIY THROAT SPRAY

Oh, the changing of the seasons. . . .how we dread it.

We seem to go from one season to next here.

But not this year!!  

These wonderful oils are to the rescue!!

 Keep your throat clear and healthy with this amazing throat spray!

Are you ready - I have been waiting.

DIY THROAT SPRAY

10 drops Thieves Vitality essential oil
2-3 drops Peppermint Vitality essential oil
2-3 drops Lemon Vitality essential oil
3-4 drops Copaiba Vitality essential oil
1 1/2 ounces distilled water
2 ounce Amber Glass Spray bottle

Add all drops of oil to the bottle. 

Fill to almost full with distilled water.

 *Shake before each use.” 

Spray the back of your throat as often as every 30 minutes.

Optional addition: honey to taste, 1/4 tsp salt.

DIY Gift Idea - After Beach Body Butter

I was talking with friends and they were saying this year they wanted to give gifts of essential oils.

I suggested that they use the essential oils - two that they all had - peppermint and lavender.

So today I am sharing the recipe on my blog.  Not only does this Body Butter make the perfect gift.

AFTER BEACH BODY BUTTER

1/2 CUP Shea Butter
1/2 CUP Coconut Oil
1/2 CUP Avocado Oil
1 TSP Vitamin E Oil
10 Drops Lavender
6 Drops Peppermint

Melt shea butter in double boiler.

Add coconut and avocado oil until melted together. 

Remove from heat and pour up into a larger bowl. 

Cool in fridge until beginning to harden. 

Whip with a mixer until it looks like mayo.

 Add essential oils and scoop into a 2-4oz jar.

Such an easy recipe and in the right little jars with nice decoration ad you have a unique and special gift to give as it was made by you/
