2018 Dirty Dozen List and what that means!

I am in a 14-day Challenge to have a chemical free home and we are learning this and more.
You can join us if you want to learn more and I really cannot stress enough how important this is for your own health and wellbeing and not to forget your family.

Properly cleaning your fruits and veggies when you bring them home from the market has several side benefits. One of which is that they are more convenient to just grab and go, saving a lot of time during meal preparation. There is also the added benefit that if anyone goes to the fridge to grab a snack it is indeed a healthy snack.  That can't be said if they are consuming pesticide covered fruit and vegetables.

The other thing to consider is that many hands have possibly handled your produce and left behind bacteria that we would prefer not to have on our fruit and veggies.

Cleaning them adequately has the added advantage of dramatically extending the life of your fresh foods.

We all know that fresh and organic is the best option but that can be expensive so extending the freshness and removing toxins is the best option many of us have.

This is also the most cost effective and easiest way to accomplish.

So many the commitment to stop simply rinsing your produce under running tap water.

I am getting my hands on to some Thieves Veggie cleaner.  I saw it demonstrated today and thought why would we make it hard work and have to mix up something when we have this available to meet our needs.
